Brian Wilson has condemned the decision to go ahead with the proposals to redevelop Queens Parade, Bangor despite hundreds of objections.
Mr. Wilson has criticized the Social Development said: “I am very disappointed that the Minister has decided to go ahead with this development. It is clear that the consultation was nothing more than a sham and the objectors concerns have been totally ignored.”
Assembly Member Wilson said: “The objectors raised some very serious and important issues of concern, including the height and design of the buildings, as well as important traffic and parking issues. This development is also totally out of character with the existing sea front and is contrary to the Bangor Town Centre Development Plan, which prohibits development on the seaward side of Queens Parade. It is disappointing that these and other issues raised during the consultation have been ignored.”
